12 key documents you need to gather and other thoughts...
No one wants to think about dying but it's inevitable. How about that to start your Tuesday? :)
On a happier note, it's Election Day in the US! Oh wait, that isn't much happier...I can honestly say that I'm really happy the election is over. They certainly have a very long process in electing their leaders. It's mind-numbing really...
Anyways, it is important to think about planning for your beneficiaries and/or executor. Organizing your documents, investments and internet presence into one quick reference point can be very helpful to those who need to sort out your estate through their grief. I have planning booklets for just this situation and if you would like one, let me know and I can mail you one or feel free to stop by the office and grab the booklet! It enables you to coordinate all of your important pieces of information that your executor will need to sort out your estate.
In particular, SunLife wrote a useful article indicating the 12 documents you need to gather.
And finally, take some time this week to remember those who fought for our freedom to live the lives we lead. Lest We Forget.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
